Where is the Peace Movement?

On any given day 70-150 people die of gun shot, averaging well over 30,000 Americans per year for the last 30 years.

President Obama can’t even get the tiniest changes in gun laws to prevent the criminally insane or those ALREADY on the “potential terrorist” list to be permanently banned from buying guns.

AK-47s and other automatics, and pistols.  WHO THE F*** hunts with these things?  Right, they are people killing weapons.  Can’t we ban at least THOSE?  Sure it would mean surrendering certain types of guns, so?  I mean look at our gun deaths compared to ANY NATION YOU WANNA NAME that doesn’t allow citizens OR EVEN POLICE to carry guns except the police can in case of an emergency, like the British Tube bombing.

Hillary is now painting Bernie as a gun lover, YET, his ideas for how to make the USA safer from gun attacks are STRICTER than hers or Obama’s.  Then she says Bernie can never get single-payer health care through because it didn’t pass BEFORE.  Come on lady.  If Bernie gets the nomination it will be a win for grass roots over money.  If Hillary wins…GOD FORBID.  Why?  She never ONCE voted against any part of the illegal wars Bush 2 committed, and look what happened while she was Secretary of State.  The middle East Wars went from 2 countries to 8.

Enough said.

  1. Tubularsock agrees with you DOUGSTUBER but there is one little thing that you need to understand. Hillary will win the nomination and will be the next President. Voting has NOTHING to do with it! The games rigged, as difficult as that is for people to understand. Bernie, Trump and Sarah, even Jeb are diversions. They aren’t real!

It has been decided …………. and let Tubularsock tell you that he would be elated to be wrong!

    • I understand tubular. I wrote the speeches for Jerry Brown in the 1992 campaign, and worked as campaign chair in North Carolina for Ralph Nader in 2000, not just informing him of local issues along the way (front man) but also acting as Chair of the Green Party here, a thankless 90 hour a week pay-free position.

      he he?

  2. Interesting time in coming months Doug for US – Hillary has been all about self-interests and interests narrow to circles that support her, she even appears distant from people on the streets, from those that make up most of the nation, from where I am standing

    • Bernie Sanders needs to ask four questions of Hillary Clinton. How does she stand when it comes to these policies her husband forced down the Democrats throats, or coaxed votes via federal spending pork-barrel, kick-back laden projects?

      1) NAFTA: just how many millions of jobs were lost, replaced slowly and painfully at $6.-10 an hour when factory pay in Detroit was higher than $25 per hour for most workers?

      2) GATT 2: This WTO-Creating abomination gave up our sovereignty (no country should be allowed to punish another with fines over trade, come on!) and opened the door to tens of millions more jobs moving to the cheapest labor they could find with favorable governmental non-interference (enter China). Now that Obama has “done it again” via the Pacific deal, when will you bring back the $25-an-hour jobs, and how?

      3) The Welfare Reform act of 1995: After shipping unskilled and skilled labor overseas, William J. smiled as he hammered the lower class with draconian cuts to the welfare system. How did that work out? With way more gun violence, crime, drug dealing and use, and of course the DOUBLING of the USA prison population. How can you or your husband still even be called Democrats?

      4) Worst of all: The banking Reform Act of 1995. During the depression banks were reeled in to lending $4 for every $1 they had on deposit. This tight ration meant it was nearly impossible to get a loan and the real estate and country suffered immeasurably but recovered. Does the opposite prevent a crash then? I think not. Your husband loosed banking from the generous $12 worth of loans for every $1 in the bank to $30 available to lend for every $1 in the bank. The result has been not JUST the subprime mortgage scandal but the resulting illegal and unnecessary bail outs, I mean is this a free market or not? The point is the result was more damaging as mortgage foreclosures soared way over 10,000 per day.
Now we have four times more dollars in float than we did in 2008, could this cause inflation?

Which of any of these policies your husband ushered in do you agree with, and why? How!?

  3. The problem is the government selling these weapons to known Mexican cartel members and indirectly to ISIS members TO BE USED ON OUR SOIL! What has occured under this mans administration is appalling to say the least, and hillary will do the same or worse. But this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause.
